Writing used to be simple - draft a manuscript; send to a publisher; get rejected; rinse; repeat. For a small percentage, a publisher would bite, and then stardom beckoned (well, a meagre living in most cases). These days, writers can self-publish; manage their own inventories; interact with their fans via social media and video Q&As. The world has gotten more complicated. Maybe we can simplify it.
In the great grey-matter that is my brain, exists a premise for a thoroughly formulaic thriller. Given ordinary mortals make millions in royalties, let's see if we can weave some magic in the self-publishing world and rake in some much needed moola.
All sounds easy: quit work; passive income; huge pension pot; blah, blah, blah. How do we pull it off though? What are the killer ideas (or more likely lucky breaks and tons of hard work) that will get us there. Let's brainstorm...
